The Struggle of Branding in a Digital World
If you’ve been on a ‘branding committee’, you know how challenging it can be to create a new corporate brand or name for a product. It’s more than thinking of creative names and URLs, it’s also likely you need to protect your name with a trademark. More often than not, you’ll discover many names have been snatched up … long before your branding committee thought of them.
How to Spy on Your Spouse
As usual, my wife and I left for work at the same time this morning to get started with our days. Mine began with an unusual phone call …
Lessons Learned at the MIMA Summit 2011
I am proud to be a Minnesotan. Few around the country know that Minnesota is home to one of the most vibrant interactive marketing communities in the world. We are homegrown and groomed thanks to long-established organizations like the Advertising Federation of Minnesota and the newer Minnesota Interactive Marketing Association (MIMA). Last week MIMA held their annual summit with speakers from around the world. Below are a few nuggets from the conference I feel apply particularly well to the financial and healthcare industries.
Want a Greater “Share of Wallet”? Think Mobile
It is conference season here at Priority and many of us are in the field meeting with marketing directors at industry events. Some of those events are documented here in our blog where we comment, observe trends and discuss the “buzz” topics at each conference (read our most recent recaps: A ‘Twit’cap of the 2011 ABA Bank Marketing Conference and 5 SHSMD Conversations from Phoenix).
One trend I’m spotting, regardless of industry, is the interest in gaining a greater “share of wallet” from consumers. Mobile is playing a big role in growing “share of wallet,” and I am excited to see that it’s featured topic at our next conference, the upcoming 2011 Greystone.Net Healthcare Internet Conference in Orlando, Fla.
5 SHSMD Conversations from Phoenix
The Society for Healthcare Strategy and Market Development’s 2011 Connections Conference was a special time for the Dowden Custom Media and Priority Integrated Marketing teams. In case you still haven’t heard, we became one team in June (you can read our press release for more information) and this was the first time we were able to present ourselves as one team, introduce clients (to our larger team and to each other) and spend a significant amount of time together with hundreds of talented healthcare marketers. The last few months have been exciting for us as our teams start to integrate and our services expand.
On Thursday, September 15, we were honored to lead five round table discussions over lunch. As our two companies become one, we are energized by the 50+ years of shared knowledge our teams now hold. Take a peek into 5 distinct conversations with experts from Dowden and Priority held over the round table luncheon at SHSMD Connections 2011 in Phoenix.
