I’m back from sunny Florida to a somewhat dreary Minneapolis in November. However cool and dreary it may feel in Minnesota, I’m feeling extraordinarily inspired … a little sunny you could even say! Why? Because I spent two days last week with some of the greatest minds in healthcare marketing at the 15th Annual Greystone Healthcare Internet Conference.

Web Accessibility, Section 508 and What It Means for Your Credit Union Website

Section 508 requires that “Federal agencies’ electronic and information technology is accessible to people with disabilities.” Although credit unions are not technically Federal agencies, the NCUA is and it has been rumored that they are considering initiatives to bring credit unions into compliance with 508 when it comes to websites, Web applications (such as online banking) and all attached files (the Wiki entry on Section 508 mentions that private websites may need to comply if they “are receiving federal funds or under contract with a federal agency”).
