Design Standards: Don’t Supersize It

If there’s four words that can make all designers cringe, it’s “make the logo bigger”.  Countless websites, articles and blogs are dedicated to this dilemma – as well as a spoof song, spoof t-shirt and spoof commercial. Bigger does not always get you better or best.

As integrated marketers, clients depend on us to get noticed, to look appealing and to achieve improved results. There are better ways than enlarging a logo, headline or photo to the point of taking up 80% of an annual report cover to do this.

To truly engage a reader you have to make them want to get involved in the information instead of throwing it in their face so it can’t be ignored. There are many different ways to visually do that. Want some good design tips? I like these.
